The endeavor into the field was founded as Kolac Chemicals in 1966 by Late Shri. Rajnikant Kothari, producing Paints, Printing Inks and Thinners, servicing the requirements of the western suburbs of Mumbai. In 1991, the company focused on manufacturing of specialty coatings for plastic substrates and re-launched as Prime Surface Coatings led by Mr. Viren Kothari (Paint Technologist) Mr. Shailen Kothari (BE. Chemical), and Mr. Nirav Kothari, establishing its roots in the modern market for Industrial Paints and Coatings.
